Scott Onstott interview – “The Quadrivium and Architecture” – #119

This episode is an interview with Scott Onstott, titled "The Quadrivium and Sacred Architecture" and is being released on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. My interview with Scott was recorded on July 13, 2011.

Scott Onstott went to college at UC Berkeley and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 1992. He began his career doing manual drafting and soon transitioned to AutoCAD and gained experience in several prominent engineering, architecture and interiors firms in San Francisco. Scott worked as a Draftsman, CAD Designer, Job Captain, Animator, and Programmer before becoming an independent consultant. He’s taught over 45 semester courses at three Bay Area colleges and has written and edited dozens of technical computer books. Scott is also the maker of the video series “Secrets in Plain Sight”, an exploration of art, architecture, and urban design which unveils an unlikely intersection of geometry, politics, numerical philosophy, religious mysticism, new physics, music, astronomy, and world history.

    Thank you for this. I’ve been watching his videos for the last couple of weeks and am almost through them.
    It’s great to hear him talk in this setting.

    Will not give the full equation nor where it goes and in what place but here is what will share.

    V=volume, area
    X=force applied, power
    M=mass, weight
    C=constant, complete load

    (V*X= M*C /3.1416*10Squared) this over comes the magnetic field for lift of load. Your part is to figure where it goes in the total sum. My way of doing math is not that which is taught, I do not get lost in the mass of numbers, I go right for the meat and potatoes! Remembering my 9th grade math teacher(algebra “any level of it”, what a non-sense way of doing it, stupid Arabs just have to make it confusing but then they are trying to take something that does not belong to them! And, corrupt it for the rest”make it confusing” keep the good for themselves greedy little pricks!) getting mad at me for not showing my work, when I did it was not what she wanted demonstrate, so I learned some Mayan number symbols and did my work in those, she was in-sensed at this confusing mass of symbols and asked what it was “what you asked for, in my way of showing it to you” in other words forget you, you figure it out college grad!

    A small interest for those who will to seek, “the kingdom of Thule will never be yours dark ones!” And yes I mean dark skinned as well dark of heart, mind although the native people of this land, are not the same as they once were but shall be allowed to continue as many wish to be as they were meant to be, segregate and unique not interfering with others and not being molded into the over bearing culture of thieves.

      This is a place of learning. This is not a place of attack. Are you mad because your 9th grade math teacher was an Arab? Showing work is a sign of discipline and without discipline your mind will fail. I can see from your post that you lack discipline. I will be expecting a nasty reply. Please don’t let me down.

        Frankly, I could care less about anyone’s lack of knowing of who(did)what, when where or why. If you look into at least a little history you find that what you have been led by the nose to know is manipulative lies.

        My points further explained-more context for you.

        1. Arabs are a culture of thieves, their knowledge much like their gene’s are of mixed origin by way of rape, theft and murder(not saying other species have not done so in reciprocate over and over, even upon their own kind) Arab means mixed race=specie and have been known as thieves, cutthroats, ETC> for thousands of years.

        2. If I come out with the same answer solve the problem, without going through all the steps wanted, why should I have to do so? And if I can do “some” problems in my head and not fatigue out my hand by writing it all out and demonstrating the mass of useless numbers wanted and not using my more simplified method of taking the prime reciprocals out of the problem and + – * / them instead of all the rest, the non-needed numbers. How is that lack of discipline, or self control?

        So stating facts and going against PC manipulation is not tolerated by you. Well to bad I do not care, not one little bit. No, she was not an Arab and much like many of those have encountered (forced to meet) in the unfortunate waste of time that has been my social time, did not like me from day one, I got sent to the back of the class, feeling is mutual I do assure you. Now would you or anyone else rather I say oh the great PC line of spew or be honest about my inclinations?

          Ok, let me try to understand you.

          All “Arabs are a culture of thieves, their knowledge much like their gene’s are of mixed origin by way of rape, theft” ect…?????

          Dark skinned people are called “dark ones”???

          And you “Will not give the full equation nor where it goes and in what place but here is what will share.”

          Please, enlighten me on these subjects.

            Yep, all Arabs/SEMITE includes the people of Australia and the Hindi “they are not Indian by the way not at all”(SEMITE means the touched=”mad/crazy” rather= to the untouchables=unclean) lineage trace back to the Hyksos, Canaan “both mixed between the first peoples species” tribal-lack of…no actually a kin to highway men/pirates, carpet baggers, out casts(for ways of usury and other such crimes-to many to list but if you like can do) that banded together and became the scourge=plagues “or bringers of” of the lands in Egypt. Using the created species as slaves and breeding stock to over throw the power of Egypt, and still trying to take over Europe or any say “first peoples lands, white and red” whether ill gotten by their cousins the “Black Nobility” or fled to by the European, they also had to crush the American Natives as well the Tibetan for their vendetta. By keeping the Europeans dumb down for a few thousand years! Stripping away their history and heritage for their planned demise. And no what is called Egypt was not white alone two specie lived their and built the marvels now quickly disappearing!

            Yes dark skinned(a distinction is to be made on the America Natives and Tibetans in this as they are a part of the true descendant of the native specie though now greatly distant and unique as well varied) and are the dark ones, not proto-human or distant still living ancestor as the Darwinist would insist. My “thought ;)” is they are genetic machination for well…. work I.E. physical labor certainly not fully human but some cross genus test tube lab experiment gone wrong I.E. beasts of the field but now aren’t we all at this point in time. This however was never intent out voted on getting hands roughed an dirty from work was one, as now the world lies destroyed result of the sins(being repeated today) again to many to name.

            Anyway I’m not doing your homework for you, but this is how part of it went down way to much to go into and would have to find many books to give references from(many I would be killed for even reading now I’m sure that is if they can be found again but was ____ with memory although not complete) and I already know what I know, why should help others to do so, without teaching tools like the language, records lost or hidden away. Many still think the current myths are real and the old stories are just myth!

            As for the equation on your own find the puzzle and put it in place, hints are every where!

            As usual it goes all over the place but my way of doing things.

            As an addendum no one asked to be created or born but history must be set straight even if it hurts or sound distasteful. The only way to quiet squabbles and may be attain some semblance of peace?

          Gene, use the trivium and stop while you’re ahead and don’t use my site for spreading blanket hatred. Thanks. And what evidence do you have of your claims? Who stole the Arab’s land? Who’s got all the gold and money? The Arabs? Your statement is the most ignorant I’ve yet seen you post here. And who isn’t a “mixed race”? Are you a fricken idiot?

            Frankly, I really don’t care anymore it is all going away any how. Will never make it to idiocracy, well no more then it is today no one, not one single cell is getting out of this compost heap.

            “And what evidence do you have of your claims?”
            Ah this would be where the lack of proper historic records comes in, just recall the Kennedy speech before his death and you have the culprits as well the originators of all the contradictions in the form of man, on this toxic test lab called Earth.
            “Who stole the Arabs land?”
            Well originating from roving outcast of all specie of man, forming bands/tribes they had no land, till there were enough to kick others out of theirs. But again does not matter.
            Third question, well do not recall mentioning that subject. The “chief lodge” duh but again does not matter.
            “And who isn’t a “mixed race”?” Believe that was my point, the answer is none.
            “Are you a fricken idiot?” Hmm, could be I got born on this world didn’t I ;)! But again does not matter!

            “Your statement is the most ignorant I’ve yet seen you post here.” As for why I belched so much venom, well as I see every thing… does not matter.

    If you look at the actual book cover of Buzz Aldrin holding the flag of the 33, you will see that in his visor there is a reflection of the American flag. The 33 flag was pasted over it to help sell the book. I own this book and it was the first thing I noticed. Still a good read but facts are facts.

    • July 16, 2011 at 2:33 pm

      Look at the letter Aldrin wrote on NASA letterhead to the Sovereign Grand Commander of the House of the Temple midway down on this page:

      Aldrin says,
      “My greatest pleasure, however, was to be able to present to you on this occasion the Scottish Rite Flag which I carried on the Apollo 11 Flight to the Moon–emblazoned in color with the Scottish Rite Double-headed Eagle, the Blue Lodge Emblem and the Sovereign Grand Commander’s insignia.”

      He carried the flag to the moon even if Hoagland and Bara did Photoshop the cover of their book.

      The astronauts also carried a vatican city flag to the Moon on Apollo 11 see:

    Fact is this:

    “The distance around a circle is called the circumference. The distance across a circle through the center is called the diameter. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. Thus, for any circle, if you divide the circumference by the diameter, you get a value close to Pi.” –

    Einstein teaches this:

    “Einstein stated that the theory of relativity belongs to the class of “principle-theories”. As such it employs an analytic method. This means that the elements which comprise this theory are not based on hypothesis but on empirical discovery. The empirical discovery leads to understanding the general characteristics of natural processes. Mathematical models are then developed which separate the natural processes into theoretical-mathematical descriptions. Therefore, by analytical means the necessary conditions that have to be satisfied are deduced. Separate events must satisfy these conditions. Experience should then match the conclusions” -Wikipedia.

    the ancients knew of the perfect circle. When in the sand or in dirt while stretching a string and using two people, you can create a almost perfect circle. Both of you hold the cord, one is stationary and the other orbits the stationary one while leaving tracks in the sand. (This should symbolize gravity or a connection. This could also symbolize mother connected to child by cord.) There is a constant connection between every-body in the universe. Your cord is the maximum length possible, but your orbit’s are your travels, and your travels can remain infinite so long as you don’t let go of the cord.(Life) -J. Ski

    Meaning: No matter what limits are pressed upon you, you can always travel beyond or break the limits. This could also be referred to as: When dealing in truth, you must always complete the circle. If you complete the circle with truth, no being will ever be able to use lies against you. -J. Ski

    “The truth shall set you free.”

    Could you please add a link on this page to the source of that segment in this podcast episode of that comedian talking about how people are no longer able to spell?

    I made an honest search effort, but could not find it. I think it was Lee Camp.

    Thanks Bro! (Just kidding. “Your” thankfully not a Bro. 🙂

    Just for the record, crop circles are created by clever artists and creative pranksters, not aliens, not secret giant black ops spirographs, or any other sci fi technology. The first were created by two men in the late 1970s, since then it was adapted and greatly enhanced by some smart and thoughtful folks in the UK. You can think of it like “street art”, it’s anonymous and the public reaction is part of the thrill. I personally know people who make them.
    This is no secret, there’s a book about it called The Field Guide. It’s an odd thing in human behavior that we assume something so complicated and ornate could not have been made by man, despite the fact that many of the crop circle makers have plainly stated that they are responsible….and to assume it’s made by extraterrestrials is the most unlikely scenario of all. I don’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade. Crop circle sare extremely impressive and even more so because they are made by “regular” people.

      I totally agree Bruce, the desire to believe in exotic possibilities is very great; Occam’s razor is seldom as glamorous as an alluring virtual reality – especially if it stirs up some kind of vaguely derivative symbolic resonance…

    • April 17, 2012 at 12:46 pm

      Using the method of the Trivium on your statement:

      “Just for the record, crop circles are created by clever artists and creative pranksters, not aliens, not secret giant black ops spirographs, or any other sci fi technology. The first were created by two men in the late 1970s, since then it was adapted and greatly enhanced by some smart and thoughtful folks in the UK. You can think of it like “street art”, it’s anonymous and the public reaction is part of the thrill. I personally know people who make them.”

      I deduce you are using the Guilt by Association Logical Fallacy here. Please point me to the record that you speak of that verifies that every crop circle has be created by a Human Being (the world over because not all crop circle appear in the UK). As far as I am aware, although I will remain open to all explanations, there are some documented cases of ‘crop circles’ that simply defy explanation of how they have been formed.

      Ergo, you can not state “for the record”. Just because some have been created by Man does not mean they have ALL been created by man.

      The bottom line is that not everyone agrees on any single explanation and many researchers remain open to the cause(s), of which there could be several.

      Yep the window dressing is always pretty, the laundry hanging out back is never sweet. In the first line of straight programing dialogue. Where stated “art never lies, it didn’t lie about the Greeks, it didn’t lie about the Romans and it doesn’t lie about Islam” well yes it did in part, same to be said about Egypt. And Islamic art is as stated in the doc. combination of early Christian”used loosely as it was Gnostic in actuality”, Buddhist, Hindi. Which were inculcated from earlier and more original cultures not allowed to have existed, for fear of their allure? But then as the majority know it culture is just, a Petri dish growing and destroying everything in sight is it not! New culture built from the bones of those fallen before the sword.

      Eponymous; to name something after ones self.

      How did mean to apply it? If aimed at me? Think again.

    On the strength of this provocative interview I took a long look and listen to Secrets in Plain Sight. Truly an impressive body of research. As Scott puts it in a quite casual throw away comment in his voice-over: “astrology is serious business”…too true, mind you astrologers are even more contradictory than economists! No two ever agree. Fascinating stuff.

    The beginning segment of the audio interview is a factual truth, but I like to interject an anecdote to his comedic satire, that the mass of humans have had but at the least 60 years of orthodox public education in more developed regions on earth and even less time in underdeveloped places. Before the last century, most people were illiterate and unable to write, so it should not be so hard to understand that people will forget how to read and write in such a short time – of course I understand there are malevolent forces to subvert the minds of people from learning and understanding the meaning behind the passion to seek or reveal knowledge, but people still have to grow and retain the mentality to want to learn themselves.

    Sacred Geometry is one helluva interesting subject!

    Great interview Jan and Scott.
